Endolift: Non-Surgical Lifting & Tightening
There comes a point where skincare, fillers, and even thread lifts can only do so much. The lower face softens, the jawline loses its edge, a little fullness settles under the chin — and for many patients, the next step has traditionally been surgery.
Endolift changes that conversation.
It's a minimally invasive laser treatment that works beneath the skin to tighten tissue, stimulate collagen, and reduce stubborn pockets of fat — particularly along the jawline, jowls, under the chin, and neck. The results are natural, progressive, and achieved without a single incision, stitch, or scar.
How Does Endolift Work?
The treatment uses an ultra-fine laser fibre — thinner than a human hair — which is gently inserted just beneath the surface of the skin. This fibre delivers controlled laser energy directly into the targeted tissues, producing three distinct effects simultaneously.
First, it stimulates your body's own collagen and elastin production, which continues to improve skin firmness for months after treatment. Second, it contracts and remodels existing collagen fibres, creating an immediate tightening effect. Third, it selectively breaks down small, localised fat deposits — the kind that sit under the chin and along the jawline and simply don't respond to diet or exercise.
It's this combination of lifting, tightening, and fat reduction in a single treatment that makes Endolift unique. Most non-surgical options address one of these concerns. Endolift addresses all three.
What Can It Treat?
Endolift is particularly effective for the lower face and neck — the areas where early signs of ageing and volume changes tend to be most frustrating and least responsive to other treatments. The most common areas we treat include jowls and loss of jawline definition, fullness or laxity under the chin, neck laxity and crepiness, and malar bags (the persistent puffiness that sits below the under-eye area and above the cheeks).
Who Is It For?
Endolift suits men and women — typically between 30 and 65 — who are noticing sagging, softening, or loss of definition in the lower face, jawline, or neck. It's particularly well suited if you have mild to moderate skin laxity that skincare alone isn't addressing, localised fat under the chin or along the jaw that won't shift, early jowling or a loss of the clean jaw-to-neck line, or if you want meaningful results but aren't ready for — or don't want — surgery.
It's not a facelift replacement for those with significant laxity, and it's not the right fit for everyone. That's exactly why a thorough consultation is the first step.
What Does the Treatment Involve?
Before Your Appointment
You'll need to arrive makeup-free and without earrings. If you use retinol or peel-based products, these should be stopped a week before treatment, and any facial laser treatments should be avoided for four weeks prior.
The Procedure
The treatment area is numbed with local anaesthetic — this takes around 20 to 30 minutes to take full effect. Once you're comfortable, the laser fibre is gently introduced beneath the skin and the energy is delivered precisely to the targeted tissues.
The procedure itself typically takes between 45 and 90 minutes, depending on the areas being treated. Most patients tolerate it very well — the numbing process is the least comfortable part, and the treatment itself is straightforward once that's done. Photos and videos are taken throughout for your records and to track progress.
Recovery
Endolift recovery is mild compared to surgical alternatives, but it's not completely invisible in the first week or two. Here's a realistic timeline of what to expect.
During the first three days, you'll notice swelling, tightness, and possibly some mild bruising in the treated area. This is completely normal and a sign that the tissue is responding. Between days four and seven, swelling starts to come down noticeably and any bruising begins to fade. By the end of the second week, most visible signs of treatment have resolved. From around two weeks onwards, early results start to become apparent — but the real transformation happens over the following months.
The full effect develops between three and six months post-treatment, as new collagen continues to build and the skin progressively tightens and lifts. This is what makes Endolift results look so natural — they don't appear overnight, they evolve gradually.
Most patients can return to daily activities immediately, but you'll need to avoid exercise, direct sun exposure, alcohol, and extreme temperatures for at least the first week or two. You may be advised to wear a compression strap and sleep with your head elevated for the initial days. Detailed aftercare instructions are provided and discussed thoroughly before your treatment.
Safety
Endolift has a strong safety profile when performed by an experienced practitioner. All risks are discussed in full during your consultation. Rare complications can include temporary nerve bruising, which may cause mild asymmetry around the lip area — this typically resolves on its own within eight to ten weeks. If you experience anything unusual after treatment, the clinic is always available.
Combining Endolift With Other Treatments
For patients looking to maximise their results, Endolift can be combined with complementary treatments such as CO2 laser resurfacing, dermal fillers, or injectable skin boosters like Profhilo and Sunekos. Dr Karwal will advise on the best combination and timing based on your individual needs and goals.
Why Karwal Aesthetics?
