ENDOLIFT®
What is Endolift?
Endolift is a minimally invasive laser treatment that uses a small optical fiber to target and tighten sagging skin and reduce fat deposits. This innovative procedure employs laser technology delivered through micro-optical fibers thinner than a hair (200-600 microns).
Treatment Areas
Endolift can be effectively used on multiple areas:
Lower face (jowls / jawline)
Under chin (double chin)
Neck + Décolletage
Malar bags
How Does Endolift Work?
The treatment works by delivering controlled laser energy to specific layers of the skin and subcutaneous tissue. This energy:
Stimulates collagen and elastin production
Contracts existing collagen fibres
Selectively reduces localised fat deposits by burning/ melting small pockets of fat
Remodels and tightens the skin from within
The Endolift Process Explained
Step 1: Fat Reduction
The laser energy is delivered through a fine cannula inserted beneath the skin. When the laser reaches fat cells, it heats them to a specific temperature that causes the fat cell membranes to rupture. This process, called lipolysis, breaks down the fat into liquid form.
Step 2: Fat Elimination
Once the fat cells are destroyed and liquefied, the body's lymphatic system naturally processes and eliminates the broken-down fat over the following weeks. The fat is metabolised and removed through the body's natural waste elimination processes.
Step 3: Skin Tightening
Simultaneously, the thermal energy from the laser stimulates the deeper layers of the skin (dermis). This heat triggers two key responses:
Immediate tightening: Existing collagen fibres contract and coil, creating an instant tightening effect
Long-term remodelling: The controlled heat activates fibroblasts (collagen-producing cells), which begin producing new collagen and elastin fibres over the following 3-6 months
Step 4: Tissue Remodelling
As new collagen forms, it creates a supportive scaffold within the skin. This fresh collagen network is denser and more organised than the old tissue, resulting in firmer, tighter, and more youthful-looking skin. The skin naturally contracts to fit the reduced volume beneath it, eliminating sagging or looseness that might otherwise occur after fat reduction.
The entire process works from the inside out, strengthening the skin's structural foundation whilst simultaneously reducing unwanted fat deposits for a comprehensive rejuvenation effect.

Post-Treatment Care for Face
Head Position: Sleep with your head elevated using 2-3 pillows to minimise swelling.
Movement Restrictions: Avoid strenuous exercise and activities that increase blood flow to the face for 7-14 days.
Compression Band: Wear a compression garment continuously for the first 72 hours, then as much as possible for 2 weeks.
Avoid Heat: Stay away from saunas, steam rooms, and very hot showers for at least 7 days.
Diet and Hydration: Follow a low-sodium diet for 2 weeks to minimise fluid retention and swelling. Stay well-hydrated by drinking at least 2 litres of water daily.
Massage: Firm massage the treated areas as instructed to promote lymphatic drainage and reduce swelling (2-3 times for 15-30 minutes).
Avoid paracetamol, ibuprofen and aspirin, if possible.
Avoid make-up for the first 24-48 hours.
Avoid touching or rubbing the treated areas.
Skincare: Do not use harsh skincare products or exfoliants for at least 1 week.
Sun Protection: Keep treated areas out of direct sunlight for at least 2 weeks, and apply SPF 30+ sunscreen thereafter.
Avoid smoking and alcohol.
General Aftercare
Follow-up Appointments: Attend all scheduled follow-up appointments to monitor your healing and results.
Bruising and Swelling: Bruising and swelling is normal and may persist for 1-2 weeks. Some patients may experience moderate to severe swelling for an extended period, as well as temporary lumps. This will gradually subside.
Contact us if: You experience severe or increasing pain, unusual swelling or bruising, signs of infection, persistent redness, fever, or any concerns about your recovery.
Expected Recovery Timeline:
Day 1-3: Mild to moderate swelling and possible bruising
Day 4-7: Decreased swelling, bruising starts to fade
Day 8-14: Most visible signs of treatment resolved
Day 15+: Gradual improvement continues
Month 2-3: Final results begin to show
Final results will typically be visible after 3-6 months as your body continues to produce new collagen and eliminate fat cells. Multiple sessions may be recommended for optimal results.
-
Results from Endolift typically manifest in three phases:
Immediate Results: Initial skin tightening and contraction can be visible immediately after treatment
Short-term Results: Improvement in skin texture and reduction in fat deposits becomes noticeable within 15-30 days
Long-term Results: Maximum results appear between 3-6 months post-treatment as collagen remodelling continues
-
The best candidates for Endolift are:
Individuals aged 30-65 years
Individuals with mild to moderate skin laxity
Those seeking improvement in skin quality and texture
Individuals looking for natural-looking results without surgery
Individuals in good overall health
-
Session Duration: Each Endolift treatment typically takes between 1-2.5 hours, depending on the size and complexity of the area being treated.
Number of Sessions: Most patients achieve their desired results with just a single session, making it a convenient option for those seeking minimal downtime.
Results Longevity: The lifting and tightening effects of Endolift generally last 2-3 years, though this can vary based on individual factors such as skin quality, age, and lifestyle.
Follow-Up Treatments: Depending on your personal ageing patterns and aesthetic goals, your practitioner may recommend follow-up sessions to maintain optimal results over time.

The main cosmetic effects of Endolift are skin tightening and optional fat reduction. This combination creates a slimmer, more defined, and lifted facial appearance. Results develop gradually—initial improvements appear within 8–12 weeks, with full results visible at approximately 6 months.
As with all medical treatments, the degree of cosmetic improvement varies between individuals and will be discussed with you in detail.

The treatment is performed under local anaesthesia, which is administered via a cannula (a thin, blunt-tipped tube) just beneath the skin. This step can cause an uncomfortable stinging sensation lasting 15–30 seconds, but it is quickly followed by numbness in the treated area. The numbing process takes about 5–10 minutes to cover all treatment areas. Once numb, the subsequent Endolift laser treatment is generally well-tolerated, with most patients experiencing none to minimal discomfort. The anaesthetic typically wears off after 1–2 hours.
-
On the day of treatment, avoid makeup if possible and remove earrings. Avoid other facial laser treatments for at least 4 weeks prior. Avoid peel-based creams (e.g., retinol) for 1 week prior.

Endolift is a very safe procedure with a low risk profile. A detailed list of possible risks, side effects, and complications is available in your consent form. A rare but important complication is nerve bruising, specifically to the "marginal mandibular nerve" located in the lower face on either side of the lip angles. In a very small number of cases, this nerve can become irritated from laser heat, causing temporary lip asymmetry on the affected side. Some patients may be given a short course of oral steroid and vitamin B tablets to help speed up recovery. This is a temporary complication that usually reverses between 8–10 weeks. To minimise this risk, treatment close to the mouth angles is avoided.
